COMMUNITY IMPACT
Through the generosity and support of the Friends of Exodus Outreach Foundation, we have been able to expand our outreach, increase our impact, and continue sharing the love of Jesus Christ with those in desperate need.
The need in our community is greater than ever. Economic hardship, addiction, homelessness, and despair have left many struggling to survive. Yet, because of our partners, we have been able to meet people where they are, offer a hand up, and introduce them to the transforming power of God’s love.
The Impact of Your Support in 2025
Because of the generosity of our community, Exodus Homes continues to be a place where lives are rebuilt and hope is restored.
In 2025, Exodus Homes served 127 men and women through our supportive housing and recovery programs. While this number is slightly lower than our typical annual impact, it reflects an important season of improvement. Throughout the year, several of our residences underwent critical repairs and renovations to improve safety, living conditions, and long-term sustainability. These upgrades temporarily reduced available beds but will allow us to serve even more individuals in the future.
Safe Housing and a Path Forward
Every person who enters Exodus Homes arrives with a story that includes hardship, addiction, incarceration, or homelessness. In 2025, 127 individuals found more than just a place to stay. They found structure, accountability, and a supportive community committed to helping them rebuild their lives.
Serving the Community
Through community outreach and giveaway events, we provided clothing, furniture, food, hygiene items, coats, blankets, and other essentials to hundreds of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. These moments of generosity create connection, dignity, and hope for people who often feel forgotten.
Building a Bridge to Employment
Through vocational training and employment support, residents gained the skills and confidence needed to reenter the workforce. Job readiness training, resume assistance, and real work experience through Exodus Works helped many individuals take meaningful steps toward financial independence and stability.
Breaking Cycles and Restoring Lives
At the heart of Exodus Homes is the belief that people can change. Through recovery support, mentorship, accountability, and community, men and women are overcoming addiction, rebuilding relationships, and stepping into lives defined by purpose instead of their past.
Every life restored strengthens families, improves neighborhoods, and builds a healthier community for all of us.
Exodus Homes Community Outreach Events
Every year, Exodus Homes proudly sponsors at least two Community Outreach Events, bringing hope, joy, and essential resources to our most vulnerable neighbors in Hickory, NC. These events are a true celebration of community, compassion, and transformation.
We provide free clothing, birthday cakes, haircuts, manicures, face painting, furniture, food, and much more to those in need. It’s a day of encouragement, where individuals and families can receive both practical support and spiritual upliftment.
The Exodus Outreach Missionary Church Choir fills the air with uplifting music, and Rev. Reggie Longcrier shares a powerful message of hope. Our residents courageously step forward to share their testimonies, revealing how Exodus Homes has helped them rebuild their lives.
Volunteers and staff are on hand to pray with attendees, collect prayer requests, and offer a listening ear. In addition, other local support agencies set up resource tables, providing crucial information and assistance to those seeking further help.
This is more than just an event—it’s a life-changing experience. It’s a day where love, generosity, and faith come together to make a real difference.
