COMMUNITY IMPACT

• Provide Safe Housing and Support for Over 155 Individuals – Men and women in recovery, many recently released from incarceration or struggling with addiction, found a structured, faith-based environment where they could rebuild their lives.
• Expand Our Community Giveaway Events – With your help, we provided clothing, food, hygiene items, coats, blankets, and Bibles to hundreds of families in crisis. These events don’t just meet physical needs—they create opportunities to pray, minister, and share the gospel with people who are often overlooked.
• Launch New Job Readiness Initiatives – Many of our residents and community members took part in job training, resume assistance, and employment placement programs, equipping them with skills to achieve self-sufficiency.
• Offer Addiction Recovery and Spiritual Mentorship – Exodus Homes remains a beacon of hope for those seeking freedom from addiction. Through Bible studies, mentoring, and accountability programs, we have seen countless men and women break free from destructive cycles and step into a future of purpose.

Exodus Homes Community Outreach Events

Every year, Exodus Homes proudly sponsors at least two Community Outreach Events, bringing hope, joy, and essential resources to our most vulnerable neighbors in Hickory, NC. These events are a true celebration of community, compassion, and transformation.

We provide free clothing, birthday cakes, haircuts, manicures, face painting, furniture, food, and much more to those in need. It’s a day of encouragement, where individuals and families can receive both practical support and spiritual upliftment.

The Exodus Outreach Missionary Church Choir fills the air with uplifting music, and Rev. Reggie Longcrier shares a powerful message of hope. Our residents courageously step forward to share their testimonies, revealing how Exodus Homes has helped them rebuild their lives.
Volunteers and staff are on hand to pray with attendees, collect prayer requests, and offer a listening ear. In addition, other local support agencies set up resource tables, providing crucial information and assistance to those seeking further help.

This is more than just an event—it’s a life-changing experience. It’s a day where love, generosity, and faith come together to make a real difference.
